Positive Attitude Month
Possessing a positive attitude should be a minute-to-minute goal but this month we celebrate its many benefits. As I am not a registered anything, I’ll rely once again on common sense as to what this all means.
We all have mastered the art of the bad tude. It’s much easier to slip into than a smaller size. Accentuating the positive at all times is a tricky business – back to the whole glass full or half empty mentality. There are times when your glass is broken. It’s just a fact. I believe the best way to achieve the positive is to always envision the worst –case-scenario. If you reflect back on all your doomsday scenarios, you’ll find that the outcome was rarely, if ever, the way you visualized it.
What about the divorce? How am I supposed to be positive about something I didn’t want in the first place? As hard as it might be to accept, the bottom line is you don’t want to be with someone who doesn’t want to be with you and vice versa. Fear of the unknown is what usually rules supreme right after a major life change.
We all want to know what the future holds for us; that’s why psychics are making a mint telling you what you want to hear. The attitude change starts with slowly replacing fear with optimism as to what the future will hold.
If you don’t like something, change it. If you can’t change it, change your attitude.
