March is Women’s History Month

Sure you’ll hear over and over again, “Don’t dwell on the past.”   Conversely, if we don’t remember the past, we are doomed to repeat it.  And you wonder why you feel confused right now.  Your marriage may be history, but so are you – a part of history or her-story as it were this month.   Let’s dwell on the past of others.

Ladies, we get one month devoted to our contributions to this earth.  Might I suggest you pull out a notebook and chart your own history thus far?  Chart your journey to date and be pleasantly surprised by how much you’ve contributed to family, friends, strangers and little ole’ you.

Pick one or one hundred of your favorite women in history and read all about them. A mentor doesn’t have to be alive.  Gain strength and wisdom from women who have come before you and achieved greatness under serious duress.  Carry your new mentor in your heart and mind.  Over time you’ll feel the power of our aunt-sters.  So many great women – so little time.
